What's the deal with my C-Gear on Pokemon White?

On my Pokemon White, my C-Gear freezes on me. I can't figure out why. It never used to. I am alright when the game first starts up, and if I turn off the gear mid-game, but when I try to turn it back on mid-game, and I click yes, the warning doesn't go away. It just stays there. How do I fix this?
