Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D or MGS HD Collection?

I haven't played any MGS game, but I hear that they are some of the most acclaimed games. Are all of them good, Snake Eater 3D will be $40, while the HD collection will be $50. This is probably a silly question, but I feel like I must ask.
