Fishing line lb Question?...?
I would use the reels limit not the rod limit. The rod limit is for the size of a fish, it means if the rod holds anything over 14 lb the rod would get bent or broken. The reel limit is lines weight capacity, if you put 15 lb, 20 lb, or 25 lb test line in the reel it wouldn't cast right. I've put 50 test in a little Ugly Cast reel ( I did it because of there fishing rod "Ugly Stik" reputation, and because I just started fishing that year so I didn't really know ) to catch a bigger fish in the pond called Big Buck after that it never did fix or cast right. So just put 10 test in the reel and you would be fine.
