My renault scenic s reg has gone in to limp mode?

my renault scenic s reg has gone into limp mode after i had head gasket done my mates computer said there was no fault showing so i called the AA , his computer could not even connect to my cars computer gear box was replaced new 1500 miles ago any suggestions
