Insurance claim question?

All the receipts are great, but not necessary. The insurance will pay for all your gear, uniform, and any added accessories on your bike that were damaged during the accident. No proof of ownership needed. I was hit by a car and my bike was totalled. I didn't have any receipts, so the insurance company looked up the brands and model numbers of my gear, and paid me the price of all new gear, and new after market parts.
